My very first robot build. A simple reactive robot that follows a white sheet of paper using infrared detection. Built from a $5 Radio Shack remote control car with some creative use of duct tape and electrical tape.

Specifications

Chassis Radio Shack RC car, duct tape, electrical tape
Power 3 separate battery sources: 1.5V for IR LED, 1.5V for motor, 3V for detector circuit and relay
Movement 1 motor and gear from RC car
Sensors 1 Hi-Output IR LED and 1 Phototransistor from Radio Shack
CPU / OS None - purely reactive

Notes

Reactive behavior: sees something, removes power from the motor. Used a white sheet of paper for best IR reflectivity.
